The My Book Buddy program
The My Book Buddy program line starts in the first grade of primary education and provides each group with a bookcase with enough books in their own language per age and level to make a weekly choice and to take a new reading book home. The cabinets are made by the local population on the basis of a construction drawing.
The students receive their own backpack to protect the book during transport. The teachers receive training in which attention is paid to the importance of reading for the development of the child, they are given suggestions for reading-promoting activities and for setting up a simple administrative system. On My Book Buddy Day, the weekly trading day, the My Book Buddy flag flies as a sign of recognition.

Being able to read well and with pleasure is a basic skill that takes children further in school, but also takes them further in life, because a better education increases the chances of getting a good job. The books full of information broaden the knowledge. In addition, reading is a form of relaxation in an environment that for many children is sober and full of worries.
