Weekly cycle
Let the children choose a book and write down in the lending system which child takes which book by filling in the book number under the week number of the year.
Or (the week after the start) let the children put back the book they return in the bookcase and let them choose another book. It is important to keep your administration up to date.
Again: make sure that they put the book in the bag.
Lock the bookcase daily.
Use the backside of the bookcase for library rules, book activities, popular titles etc.
Give suggestions how to read at home or read aloud for the family or younger brothers and sisters
Read aloud every day minimum 15 minutes in front of the children and show the pictures in the book. Teach them how to turn a page and handle a book with care.
